Introducing the Canon Pixma MP180. A printer, scanner and copier in one for a mere $119 (P4,600++). As per Villman, this retails for P6,595 in the Philippines. Anyway, I can't believe I have my own personal photocopier. Although my boyfriend seems to think its an extravagant purchase, I think its a reasonable, even practical one for the following reasons:
1. This is not the Philippines, hence the observance of copyrights. Which means there is no handy Shopping Center nearby to copy away whole books morning, noon and night.
2. Photocopying in the library is 15c per page (pretty expensive). I have a mini-library of photocopied stuff at home in Manila that will probably reach 2 floors stacked altogether. I need photocopying and Bond charges way too much.
3. I can't figure out how the darn photocopying/printing machines work in the library. No, you don't have a friendly copier to assist you. You're supposed to load up your student card with copying/printing credits, swipe the card into this machine and ...... that's where I get lost in the process. Like I said, while I do think I'm not completely ignorant of techie stuff, I don't even want to figure out the system we have here in school.
So there. I think this printer will be invaluable in the next 15 months. Ah. I love it!
